Skills

Web Development

Throughout the years, I have learned a lot about Web Development. The right ways, the wrong ways, and the old ways. What started out as just a desire to design, turned into a need to code, then program. I now possess expert knowledge of XHTML, CSS, HAML, SASS, JS, and jQuery. In programming, I have a continuously growing knowledge of PHP and Ruby on Rails. I have experience using: Git, SVN, Blueprint, minor SEO, and even more.

Experience

Latisys

NOC Technician (Nov.2009 - Present)

At Latisys, I get hands on experience working with some of the data center industry's newest technology.

Emotech

Freelance Web Developer (Mar.2009 - Oct.2009)

At Emotech, I am given website designs to be converted into fully functioning websites. Including the slicing of, and implementation into open-source applications.

ASmartPixel, LLC.

Freelance Web Development, Lafayette, IN (Apr.2004 - Present)

Through several years, my "alter-ego" has changed names. In 2006, it originally became Indesicant Designs. Being too hard to remember, or spell, was this year turned into ASmartPixel. I have used these personal websites to showcase my work to potential clients and companies. Working among the freelance community has brought an abundance of knowledge about the business flow, importance of deadlines, and expectations.

Westin Consulting, LLC.

Web Designer, Denver, CO (Dec.2007 - Feb.2009)

At Westin Consulting I played a key role in the advancement of their web development. Being the most senior designer, I was the lead person on all new projects. I was responsible for every design, and collaborating with the development team to implement the views into the custom rails applications.

This position started as a telecommute position, and eventually worked it's way up to a full-time position, which I moved to Denver, Colorado for.

DBS>Interactive

Sr. Web Designer, Louisville, KY (Sep.2006 - Dec.2007)

At DBS>Interactive I was originally hired as just a designer. Throughout the time I was there, I challenged myself to learn more about the programming side of things so that I could handle the simple tasks such as Wordpress integration. This eventually leaded to my being promoted to Sr. Web Designer. All projects at that point had to be run by me before being turned to the department manager.
